COPS & REMS – Defunded Federal programs for local school security….
OK so if arming school security is so stupid then why is there already a Federal program for it called COPS which the Congress and the Administration have let the funding for slip…
over the last few years the Obama administration and Congress quietly let federal funding for several key school security programs lapse in the name of budget savings…. two Justice Department programs that had provided more than $200 million to schools for training, security equipment and police resources over the last decade weren’t renewed in 2011 and 2012, and that a separate program that provided $800 million to put police officers inside the schools was ended a few years earlier.
So the Federal government has found enough money to hire 100+ new Federal employees per day since President Obama took office, run us into debt to the tune of $16 TRILLION but cannot find money to protect kids while the D.C. elites’ kids go to private schools with private security.
This is enough to make someone who’s tin foil hat isn’t quite tight enough wonder…
